Birthday wishes and fan-made videos have become the new norm for many Americans, with fans from around the world sharing their wishes to see the hit TV show return.
But some have gone even further than that, with one fan writing a letter to Disney expressing her wish to see a full season of the popular American family show.
Ms Bannister’s letter, which was published on the social networking site Twitter, has been shared more than 100,000 times, with many people wishing to be in a Disney-branded season of Duck Dynasty, or any of the other American-themed shows on the network.
“Please be there to watch it,” she wrote.
“Thank you for the love you have given me and for the support you give to my family.
We are a family now and I will be forever grateful for you.”
A Disney spokesperson told ABC News the network was aware of Ms Bannisters wishes, and was “working on a way to support” her wishes.
But Ms Bancroft, the ABC News critic, told the outlet that Disney has no control over the wishes of fans, and that the network has to be “open to what fans want”.
“You have to be open to what the fans want, but you have to keep it respectful,” she said.ABC News’ Daniel Sussman contributed to this report.
